Diamond Technology Reviews for 2009 

Elite, Independent Panel Ranks New, Innovative Product Offerings 

We are pleased to announce the results of Broadband Gear’ Report’s (BGR) 2009 Diamond Technology Reviews. Thank you for your participation in this year’s program, which included the review of more than 40 products.

After careful review of your application, the judging panel has issued the following ranking for your product: 

Phoenix Broadband PowerAgent Battery Monitoring System: 4.5 

Congratulations! The product you submitted for consideration received very favorable ratings by the team of judges.  As a reminder, judges assign a score from 1 to 5 Diamonds for each product, accompanied with straightforward, unbiased opinions on each specific product’s merits. Criteria used in the Diamonds rankings include, first and foremost, unique technology or application thereof, innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability and contribution to profitability. In 2009, the highest mark awarded for any product was a 5.  

The Diamonds ranking system used is as follows:

0 – 1                        Useful product, yet commodity.
2 – 3                        Solid product with viable attributes that set it apart.
     4                        Excellent product with technical features and performance that
                               provides clear and substantial benefits.
     5                                                            Superb product that sets new standard for performance;
                               providesgroundbreaking and NEW technical milestones. 

Product ranking is based on the average of the total points received, divided by the number of judges who reviewed the product. Partial scores (e.g., 4.5, 3.8, etc.) were allowed. Final averages were rounded to the nearest whole or 0.5 increment, and the results often reflect this. Scores of 4 or above are considered outstanding and reflect a very positive opinion from the judges.  

Products receiving a Diamonds rating of 4 or higher will be featured as follows:

·         BGR’s At-the-Show Product News magazine, which will be distributed at SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo from October 28-30, 2009 in Denver.

·         On October 29, a Diamonds feature article will be sent via email blast to BGR’s 20,000+ readers and appear online in Broadband Gear Report at www.broadbandgear.net. 

·         Will be presented on Broadband Today (BGTV), a video program that runs 24/7 in all the main Expo hotels.
