IntellAgent Technology Core

All net IntellAgents^TM products are based on  Phoenix Broadband Technologies' nanoAgent^TM embedded technology module. This small, highly integrated unit provides an Ethernet-based SNMP interface using industry standard HMS MIB’s. 

The nanoAgent contains an Ethernet PHY and MAC interface, a complete TCP/IP stack, an HMS SNMP proxy agent, a Web server*, an SMTP e-mail server*, a DHCP client, and an application-specific monitoring interface, all in a PCB mounted module about the size of a small ice-cube. 

The nanoAgent's powerful 16-bit X86 processor is firmware downloadable via the Ethernet interface, or via a Telnet connection. 

The unit acts as an SNMP proxy agent between equipment that is connected to its application port and a TCP/IP network. Monitoring and control information is stored in a Cable TV industry-standard HMS format. SNMP Sets, Gets, and Traps are fully implemented. which makes it immediately compatible with virtually any SNMP network management system. 

In addition, the nanoAgent has a built-in web server* that allows viewing of monitored information using any internet web browser and an SMTP email server* that can send alarm messages to any email client as well as many cell phones.
